Lets accept it

From Shiv's blog

When I got admission for Mtech, my folks were thrilled.
"Go and explore the frontiers of knowledge. May your ignorance recede in pursuit of higher learning." They blessed me.

After 2 years, the only thing that receded was my hair line. Damn this Tamil Nadu bore-well water !!

It was in second year of Btech when I first realised that my hair is falling .
I blamed it on the climate change.

Falling accelerated, along with my bike trips . Everywhere I went, i hairlined my presence.
I blamed it on my helmet

After I joined Poornam ... hair stopped falling and started raining !!!. I remember "Thankam Chechi" , who comes to clean our room, complaining.
I blamed it on the bore-well water.

Sooner or later ... I'll have nothing left to complain about . I dont know who i'll blame it on then.

Shiv,
Lets accept it . We are ageing ( read maturing, if that would be of some consolation)
Lets bear it up as this is a natural tendency.
Lets accept hairfall as inevitable as the reason for this is best known to God.

Now they are falling like Saurav Ganguly, but who knows, tomorrow it might be the fashion statement.
Lets just hope.

Experience is like a comb that life gives you when you are bald.

Shiv's blog reminded me of something that happened few months back.

One day Noble ( my colleague , whose name doesnt reflect anything about his character) brought his daughter, Michu to office.

Michu

I love playing with kids. As I approached them , I heard Noble introducing me . "Michu , if u want to see the puppy , go with this uncle !!".

U.N.C.L.E ???

I stopped and returned to my seat. So much for playing with kids. !!!!

One thing I love about my company, is that nobody calls u a "brother" or "chetta" or anything . Everyone calls me Sojish or Soj or SoK or some go to the extend of freaking me out,by calling Sokri. However in all these , I found solace in the fact that, age factor never got reflected. But "Uncle" , is too much . I think, I can never relate myself to an "Uncle" character.

As each year passes,
as more & more friends are marrying
and as their wives are promptly delivering,
I guess, I better get used to the calls of "Sojish Uncle" .

So much for the love towards kids. !!!
