William Drake:
What exactly are you a professor of, Professor Logan?
Wolverine:
Art.
This is just a small tribute to the master artist , for his amazing talent in finding a paragon in just anything.

Recently I bought a Photography magazine from railway station , hoping to learn new tips in taking better photos. That way, I thought, the boring travel time could be used for better purposes. ( Name of the mag delibrately removed to avoid hurting the magazine editor's feelings )
I read a couple of interviews of famous photographers and ran through a couple of Camera reviews . A lot of articles were written on how to use Adobe PhotoShop to edit and beautify the pictures one took ( but Photoshop does not work in Linux !!!) . What disappointed me was , nowhere in the heavy magazine it gave any tips on how to take better snaps with a point-n-shoot camera with builtin flash. In frustration, I thought of throwing away the magazine while train was over "peruman" bridge. If those fully nude models in the magazine , had not come in the way, i would have definitely done that.
With a magazine still in hand, I tried to make some sense out of it all. And then the realisation sinked in.
A photo well taken is just half the job done ... if you need perfection, use photo editing tool.
Shiv taught me this by examples and magazine articles reenforces it too.
After working in Linux for more than 5 years , one thing I always missed was a good photo editing tool . The only option left in Linux is GIMP. Gimp is good , but not for an amateur like me who uses it only for Photo Editing. I heard that the developers are coming out with a newer version with more compicated tools.
Another option is "Picasa" from google. It runs on wine ( Windows emulator ) which comes with the pack . I was lucky enough to use it once, after installing the rpm in 3 different linux boxes. All other times , it crashed or newer opened up.Picasa looks promising , but they have to come up with a more reliable , compiled in linux version if they really want to get linux users.
For all the windows users , I recommend the Picasa. Its an amazing software , which is very simple to use and the best part is ... it comes free of cost from Google.
