Inspirational Dress

Posted in Its my life

Well , wife going for shopping is not something unheard of . My wifi loves shopping for dresses and I too enjoy her shopping as long as I don’t have to accompany her.  I love seeing the smile on her face after she comes back from a successful shopping ( For those unlucky bachelors out there, successful shopping  means when she gets to buy the exact dress she had in mind within the imaginary budget she had in mind ) . Like all caring husbands out there in the world, I join her happiness and put a big smile on face and says … “woow , thats a cool dress.”

Gods don’t explain

Posted in Its my life

I was feeling rotten that evening. First a customer I was handling shouted. Then a team lead who reports to me shouted. Reached back home late and wifi had a frown on the face. Honestly my intentions had always been to help all these people. But I end up in the wrong side at the end of the day. I tried to explain how I was trying to help each of these people out. But nobody listens. Everyone has their own reasoning to believe how I wronged them. It was a tiring exercise and I went out of breath.

Blogger’s block

” Whats your hobby ? ” , asked my friend over dinner table.

That is my favourite question during interviews , especially when I’m the one asking. I guess, when you are a fresher out of college , you would have practised answering the question infront of mirror atleast 50 times.  ”Watching TV & Listening to music & playing cricket” .  Then there are those wanna-be smart guys who comes out with  ’travelling’  & ‘reading’ . I guess , I belonged to the latter class , who wanted to impress the interviewers with a  I-am-a-geeky-one attitude .  Never-the-less , I always had answers when someone threw in that question .

Invictus –

Posted in Its my life

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

William Ernest Henley

Happy birthday , Mandela. :)

Birth of a Housewife

Posted in ashi speaks

Most girls are romantic. No matter how tough you portray yourself to be, deep inside we want romantic moments in life.

Its every girl’s dream to meet her prince charming in a filmi istyle and fall in love. People call us ‘romantic idiots’ and ‘fools in love’. Whatever the term is end of the day we are in love. Our whole world revolves around just one person and everything becomes so magical. And then…. he proposes to wed. Time stands still for awhile as your brain goes round and round in circles to get to an answer. All this while you have been thinking you are still a little girl, there is still ample time for marriage. Marriage means you should be more responsible, more sensible, judicious, thoughtful, more into the household chores…. Gosh!!! But…. you can learn all that in the course of time. If its a ‘no’ you end the so called magical scenario … and if its a ‘yes’ you step into a totally different role in life. Who wants to end the magic? Life has always given its fair bit of twists and turns. It is definitely a ‘yes’, ready to take on the challenge that life has put forth.

LOL … I got married

Posted in Its my life

I got married … lol :) . ( Thanks Rachel for my starting line )

For those who are married ,guess  you’ll totally understand why I’ve stayed away from my blog for this long .

And for those who are unmarried … my only advice is .. “Go Get Married ” . Its not fair that you are staying unmarried.

Okay … so now that the writer’s block is broken … let me just give you an insight into what happened to the website

  • I was working with wordpress for some official work and found it very user & programmer friendly.  Its light weight and has a really large community working on to improving its features.
  • I was getting bored of my previous theme and wanted something that suits my preferred colors as of now. So yes, the color theme of the new website is picked up from my the colors of my living room.
  • I also changed my tag line … to suit the site.  Its better to say the truth in blog than worry about how I can inspire via my blog.
  • New characters are going to frequent by blogs. Oh trust me … I’m just so eager to write about it all …so please do come back

A dear story

Posted in Its my life

I was only a couple of days into my new job in Poornam. Just like any other fresher, I was very nervous when I got stuck in a bug . I tried all arrows in my quiver and finally decided to consult with my team lead. My team lead was a lady by the name, Lachu.

I stood two steps behind her chair and waited for attention . Sensing someone behind her, she turned her chair and with a questioning face asked “yes ? Honey….!! ”

Hypocrisy, conformism and a few fresh doctors.

Posted in Its my life

“Long straight hair, unshaven face and a checkered shirt that clings on to your body. You’ve to change all that. You are not a teenager anymore.”

I woke up from bed only 5 minutes back and it takes me atleast half an hour to boot-up ( as in computers ) after a good sleep. Dad had summoned me for repairing his laptop and I didn’t see that it was a well hidden bait which he knew I’ll bite on. I was still wondering how to remove the software FireStarter from Ubuntu, when dad gave that well hidden jab. And to be frank, I took the entire blow on my face. I was startled and silence ensued.
